Solo & Ensemble – Make Up Assignment
Be very specific and complete. A concert performance represents weeks of work, and your make-up assignment should reflect the same effort and attention to detail.
 General Guidelines
        This assignment is to be turned in to your director no later than Friday, February 6, 2015.
        If no assignment is submitted, a “zero” will be entered for that performance.
·         Students should be sure that all text is in their own words and is edited for sentence structure, punctuation, and spelling.
        Be sure to present a clearly defined and complete response to each of the prompts.
        Assignment may be submitted as a hard-copy, or e-mailed to your director before midnight on the due date.

        Listen to the recording for your specific ensemble: (You may need to listen to the performance multiple times in order to complete the worksheet.)

·         Describe the balance, blend and intonation of the ensemble.  Can you hear all the parts in the performance or do you hear one voice above all others?  Does the group play in tune or out of tune?

·         Describe the technique of the performers.  Is it clean and crisp, or muddy and dirty? Can you hear all of the notes or not?   Are all of the players feeling the tempo as a group?
